[Thinkpad] T23 screen problem

Hi list,
Today I got a problem with my T23screen - the screen will light up for a
second, then will turn off.

If I try Fn+F7 cycle - turning screen on and off - same story - the
screen will turn on for a second - then there is no light.
Although I see that tft matrix is working ok - it is backlight problem.

So - my question is - is it inverter or CCFL?
There is (and was) no red tint from CCFL.
