*MY* TP history looks a bit different, it all started 4 years ago with
- 1 570e, which I used to travel overseas. The damn US idiots on the plane
station damaged the screen when searching my stuff down there in Orlando
and I still have a tear in my eye when I remember these bastards never
even admitted that. The 570e still serves me for emule purposes and as
a FAX server and plays MP3 all day long :-)
- 3 i-series-crap-machines in exile. Really, this type is a SHAME for IBM,
they pretty much did the same b/s as Toshiba was known for: Especially
that stupid HDD-connector did cost me nerves. What crap! But very nice
2621 type. Was my CD-player :-) The other were 1161 and 1171
- 1 600e (266 MHz) as server
- SEVERAL 600x - truely the BEST IBM ever and from my experience the ONLY
reason for their good reputation. Do you know what Volvo 240, Commodore64
and 600X have in common? *THEY* do deserve the good reputation that their
model-successors live from but never even came close.
- SEVERAL T2x (all from T20 to T23), and I must say the T23 really rules!
BTW: How fast can the T20 go? Which processors can they run?
- 1 A22e - what a crap-type: The first thing that broke was the whole
I/O board, esp. the power unit connector part. Known problem. Bad series
Greetings, fellows!
