It is perhaps worth distinguishing between new systems and upgrades.
I certainly wouldn't bother upgrading a working system to Vista. But as for
new systems, and given that I have no peripherals that would break under
Vista, I still think (for me) Vista is at least worth trying (which is to
say that it has been fine so far -- but I'm still kicking the tires -- I'm
prepared to like it, and I'm also prepared to revert to XP).
PS: I called Lenovo, and they charge $45 for the XP downgrade disks.
