Bob, I'm curious, why do you want to do this? Putting the pagefile on a
removable drive doesn't sound like a good idea. It certainly won't be good
for performance, being limited to USB2 speeds.

You didn't say anything about how you tried to move your paging file, or
what version of Windows you're running, so I'll assume that it is Windows
XP. How did you change your paging settings? Did you go into the Virtual
Memory control panel (System control panel, Advanced tab, Performance block,
Settings button, Advanced tab, Virtual memory block, Change button - whew!)
and set "no paging file" for the C: drive and then click the Set button?
That should be all you need to do.
