Re: [Thinkpad] Drive cloning software

I'm (newly) using True Image -- I boot my X61s with an external USB CD
drive, and save the image to a network share. I've also used locally
attached USB drives as well as locally attached eSATA (via an expresscard on
a Fujitsu laptop).

fwiw, I have two unresolved issues...

1) the boot CD incorrectly reports free space when the drive (a 500GB SATA)
is attached via either USB or eSATA -- however, I don't have a similar
problem when I boot True Image from with XP -- and I don't have a similar
problem when I access the same drive as a network share.

2) when I restore, I sometimes get a "new generic volume" alert -- I just
say "ok" and all seems fine -- but it strikes me as counter to the notion of
a pure image/restore.
