[Thinkpad] Password "Rules" (was Generic Administrator Password)

I don't understand that assertion at all. Can you make that a little
more clear?

Not always.

I agree.

OTOH, I think people who have problems with their ThinkPads and
passwords (perhaps with a BIOS issue like I had) need an authoritative
source - somewhere to go that explains how to fix the machine with a
minimum of expense and effort.
