Just ran into a wierd password problem. Setting up new laptop (T61p). Tech puts in power on, and master and user disk password.

Shuts machine down and reboots. Power on Password doesn't work. Tried all the usual tricks (shift lock, move fingers over one on keyboard).

Removed the power on password per the HMM. Still can't get in. Swap disk and can get in. So problem is disk password. So somehow, all the passwords were corrupted on entry. (I just can't believe the tech made multiple identical typing mistakes, especially given you have to enter each password twice.)

Anyone seen this before?
