I would see if you can update the Drivers, and the BIOS... or are they
already updated.
Then Download and install all the updates from the Matrix to assure you have
all the latest fixes across the board.
What you describe is not normal. Why didn't you get it fixed when it was
under warranty?
Perhaps you need to replace the video graphics card?
Have you cleaned the cpu, air channels, etc?
You might consider replacing the inverter for the LCD screen... as that is
one of the least expensive updates that sometimes works.
