But the electrical definition of pata and sata are completely different.
Looking at the pata caddy for my A31p reveals no intelligence, so it
doesn't do anything special. I can't look at my T60p caddy as I'm
using it but I don't think there are any active electronics there, either.
The bay connectors are different, too I'm quite sure.
Sigh. I'd really love to be able to deal with an older IDE disk without
USB boxes. Ah well.
