They are the "cached" copies of the installer for any of installed apps
(among them, many ThinkVantage apps) whose installers were the pre-MSI type
installers. If you delete these folders you will not be able to ever run
Add/Remove Programs on any of these installed applications (as they also
include the InstallShield log files that contain the changes made to the
system when the application(s) were installed (files, folders, registry
entries, shortcuts, etc.).
