May I express my idea and a hint ?
HDD's get quite warm if not hot and they do have a certain range of
accepted temperature !
I have 2 External Cases with TCP/IP and USB connection for 3 1/2"
IDE-HDD's !!
They are getting really hot !!!
My idea and recommendation for home use would be:
Get 3 1/2" cases with a special adapter for 2 1/2" HDD's like this:

With your clima you may decide pro or contra a fan in your case !!
