I have one XE3 GC omnibook running Debian 3.0. The ess-modem-1989.tar.gz are working in my machine. I recompile my debian kernel with -6mdk parameter in main kernel's Makefile and install the modules.

It is working, but have a serios bug: the machine freeze after disconnect the dial-up connection, and I press resset button for reboot.
