Seriously the ACPI/APM support in Ubuntu for the ob6000 is really nice, all 
the hardware features work well. APM works well in Debian "sarge" and I 
believe ubuntu's ACPI fixes will be in Debian's "etch" release as well.

As for a Windows Recovery CD, most vendors stopped doing those, I suspect 
Microsoft pressured them to do so because they didn't like the fact that 
people could use them as a way to install Windows on other machines. I 
can't remember if the ob6000 came with one or not, but even if it did I 
suspect there's no official way to get a replacement one now. That's what 
you get for using Windows I guess... :(

There are people on this list that are good at helping with any Linux 
issues you might have on the ob6000 (this is a Linux list after all).
