Well, I think I'll give linux games a try. I've used Linux for so long
for *real* work that I forgot it has some interesting games for kids. I
even remember I've tried once "gcompris", when my kid was really small.
I'll also give a try to cdega.

P.S. Although I still would like to have a copy from the original
recovery CD...
