[OmniBook] SMART error code 9640?

Dear Mr. Volker Ossenkopf,

A long time ago (october 2003) you send in a forum list a mail about the
problem with 
a Omnibook where you had the SMART error code 9640.

I know this notebook is an older model, therefore the question
what have you done that time to solve the problem.
