Hello,
I just had the same problem with an Omnibook XE3 this week. The midle
pin of the jack was broken out. I went to the local electronics store
and found a replacement.
Normally it should be quite easy to solder a new one in. However, I must
have broken something else. It does not switch-on anymore, no LEDs come
on. When putting the flat battery though, the LEDs flicker just a short
instant.
I found a few DC jacs on ebay as well. They seem to be quite expensive
and cost a lot of postage. I paid 40 € cents instead of more than 10 € or $.
Good luck.
